SparkPool mining pool announced the freezing of a strange transaction of 0.55 ether in the amount of $ 134, since the sender paid a commission of $ 2.6 million for it.

The pool employees were surprised at the record transaction fee of 10,668.73 ETN with an average gas price of $ 0.34 and decided to figure out the situation. As it turned out, such an unusual transfer was made by one of the users of the South Korean crypto-exchange Bithumb, who transferred funds between his wallets.

The administration of the trading platform is trying to contact the trader to solve the problem, but he has not yet contacted.

Currently, the exact reason for paying such a huge commission is unknown. The sender could confuse the fields “transfer amount” and “transaction fee”, but experts do not exclude the possibility that the trader did this on purpose.

This would have allowed him to avoid paying taxes due to force majeure with a commission and the resulting wreckage. Then the unknown could contact the mining pool that processed the transaction to roll back the operation and return the funds.

Not surprisingly, such a transaction attracted attention, since over the past year the maximum daily amount of fees amounted to $ 564 thousand.
