Bitcoin Miners’ Revenues Up 23.2% In August

According to Coin Metrics, last month bitcoin miners earned a total of $ 368.3 million, which is 23.2% more than in July.

Analysis of the dynamics showed that in August, miners’ income reached the maximum level in the last 3 months, since the May decrease in the remuneration for closing a block from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC. Due to halving in June, miners’ earnings fell to a 15-month low and amounted to only 281.6, a decrease of 23% compared to May.

The Block researchers also note that over the past month, the share of transaction fees increased from 8.5% to 10.7%.

However, the increase in Bitcoin mining revenue appears to be marginal compared to the 98.2% increase in Ethereum miners’ earnings over the same period, largely driven by a 40.5% increase in transaction fees.
