GeekBrains Launches Online Machine Learning Course

The educational portal GeekBrains announced the opening of a set for an online machine learning course, where in five months students will gain applied experience in developing projects: from data collection to model building and their optimization. The course is designed for beginners in data science, analysts, developers and mathematicians.

According to HeadHunter, in two years the demand for data science specialists has doubled: currently more than 600 vacancies have been opened with monthly salaries ranging from 100 thousand to 200 thousand rubles.

The course program consists of more than 30 online lessons, includes more than 65 hours of training content and practice after each lesson. During the training, students will master probability theory and mathematical statistics, Python libraries for Data Science (Numpy, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn), data analysis algorithms and machine learning systems in Production. Students will solve five project tasks using ML, such as predicting real estate prices and developing a credit scoring model.

The faculty teachers are practicing specialists and employees of large companies: Ivan Maksimov (Data Scientist at the Delivery Club), Sergey Shirkin (Data Scientist at the Dentsu Aegis Network Russia), Fedor Erin (Data Scientist at the X5 Retail Group), Ksenia Gustokashina (data analyst at X5 Retail Group) and Nikita Baranov (Data Scientist at oneFactor).

After classes, students will have notes, teaching materials and a ready-made code. Graduates of the course will receive training certificates.

Successful development of the program requires knowledge of Python and SQL.
