Sydney to build 180-meter hybrid wood building

Atlassian has announced plans to build the world’s tallest hybrid wood building for its new headquarters in Sydney.

The Australian software developer wants to build a 40-story office with a height of about 180 meters by 2025, which will house 4,000 full-time employees.

The building will have the shape of a tower, all of whose internal structures will be made of solid pressed coniferous wood. The facade will be made of glass and steel with a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, natural ventilation, many planted terraces and self-darkening windows.

According to the designers, the new Atlassian headquarters will be able to fully provide themselves with energy through solar panels on the facade. The company intends to make Sydney one of the leading technological cities in the world and provide optimal working conditions for its employees.

The construction of a new headquarters is due to begin next year.

The United Arab Emirates also seeks to develop scientific activities in its country, and for this the government allocated $ 135 million for the construction of a technopolis under glass domes in the middle of the desert.
